Dr. Gjergji Sini is an associate professor at the Department of Chemistry, Laboratoire de Physico-chimie des Polymères et des Interfaces (LPPI), University of Cergy-Pontoise, France. He received his Ph.D degree in theoretical chemistry at Paris XI University in 1991, with focus on valence bond methods and valence bond diagrams.
Research domain: molecular modelling based on DFT and ab-initio methods.
Previous research interest: reaction mechanisms in organic and organometallic chemistry.
Actual research interest: structure-property relationships in organic semiconductors for optoelectronic applications; influence of non-covalent interactions in charge-transport properties of glassy materials; charge separation mechanisms at the organic donor-acceptor interface
Dr. Gjergji Sini has been visiting Bredas group as a Research Scientist visitor for several months per year on a regular basis since 2009, currently visiting GT during March-May 2017.
